Where is our olive oil produced

Our olive oil is made from olives of different varieties grown in the area of Bagheria - Flavia-Casteldaccia (in the province of Palermo-Sicily). The hills of the area are full of olive trees of different varieties. The main varieties grown are Cerasuola, Biancolilla, Messina and Nocellara. The olive harvest is practiced mostly in a traditional manner with the use of appropriate networks , placed under the trees. The olives are slid over networks using hands, combs manual fitting and to a lesser extent combs and mechanical shaking machines. Once harvested olives are transported in airy boxes, in mills in the area. The whole process of harvesting and pressing is completed within 24 hours. The pressing of the olives are hot (Virgin Olive Oil) and cold (Extra virgin olive oil)
